Professional Development III: Workplace Safety

Note: This is one of five modules of The Professional Development Series offered every semester. The series is open to all UA employees, but those seeking promotion to the Office Associate Senior Level are required to complete all five modules.


Course Completion Requirements
This course requires participation in the instructor-led course, Leave and Accommodations Training – Employees, completion of the the LinkedIn online course: Ergonomics 101 – (35 min.) available through UA LMS, and review of additional topics as directed by the facilitator.


Understanding the office professional’s role in appropriate administration of policies and procedures, and the importance of being knowledgeable of UA’s compliance, health, safety and emergency resources is the focus of this module of the Professional Development Series.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Understand your role in fostering a safe and healthy campus/work environment
  • Enhance knowledge of ergonomics in the workplace
  • Explore and review resources and training provided to inform the UA community of legal, compliance, safety and well-being programs, services and guidelines
  • Connect with HR administrators to review UA policies related to ADA and FML

Spring 2021 COVID-19 Training Now Available

As the new semester approaches, students and employees are required to take online training prior to returning to campus. Training includes important information about health and safety expectations as well as useful steps to take at home and in the community. A unique COVID-19 Learning Plan is available for faculty, staff, and student audiences via the banner on the Home Dashboard.
